About the Conference

According to NASSCOM projections, India’s IT export revenues from the BFSI sectors were likely to account for $10 billion in 2006, from $3.2 billion in 2003.

According to a report by valid sources, India is the preferred BPO destination for off-shoring Banking and Financial Services (BFS), earning $1.83 billion in revenues and employing 125,000 persons in 2005-06 with growth rates of 30 to 35%, India’s revenue is likely to reach $6.5 million by FY2011. Companies are able to achieve overall cost savings in the range of 30-40% and the employee strength of India based BFSI vendors is expected to cross 400,000 by FY2011.

Globalization of the Indian economy has encouraged the integration of the Indian Financial sector with global financial markets. The Indian financial industry is resorting to self improvement with internal reorganization and technological up-gradation in all areas.

Fast and continuing changes in the global financial service industry have created the need for new generation IT solutions. These are required to operate in the real time with continuous availability, providing reliability with high security. Fierce competition, a complex regulatory environment and increased efficiency pressures have brought with them their own set of demands. In response to customer centricity in the financial industry, service providers are pressurized to create customer-focused innovative methods to optimize business processes, consolidate IT systems and simplify customer service. Enterprises have begun to understand the benefits associated with Business Process Management (BPM), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) etc.

Since the Finance industry, especially Banking Services, facilitates large volumes of high value transactions, the need for defect free software is absolutely critical. Companies in BFSI sectors are sensitive to the knowledge that a single error can result in the loss of business, revenues and reputation. It is a known fact that testing and re-testing systems, process, products and protocols is of high importance. By its requirement, software testing is a very demanding job; especially so with respect to this sector, making it imperative for this service to be managed by dedicated experts with the necessary domain knowledge.

Objective

The conference will help the participant to get a broader and deeper perspective of BFSI Testing and also give one a good insight of its organizations.

Technical staff of test teams will get a deeper insight into the techniques, tools, process and measurements of testing in BFSI. Management staff will be able to better understand, plan, and manage the specialized BFSI domain based testing needs.
