Storage Testing

Testing Disk Storage Arrays using Action Based Testing Methodology

Action Based Testing provides a framework to organize test design, automate and execute around a concept called “Keywords”. Action Based Testing uses an abstraction mechanism (action word or keyword) when used in combinations addresses the testing need for any product.
Most of the disk storage arrays have increased complexity and short product release schedules thus making the testing task more challenging. This is mainly because of the area of application of disk storage arrays and the increased competition in the storage market. If bugs are detected, the cost of rework and additional regression testing becomes costly, further impacting the product release.
