Data Leak Prevention application on Consumer Electronic Devices

Abstract: The latest advancement in technology has made gadgets integrated such that we can access the entire world through a Television Set. The devices are now made versatile; one device can be used for multiple purposes and most of these gadgets have the ability to save and transfer data.

This session talks about having Data Leak Prevention applications installed on consumer electronic gadgets and give the consumer the right to protect their content. Here consumer will be capable to set policies and choose what can be stored or transferred from these devices.

The session will cover:

1. A brief about Data loss prevention technology
2. How DLP can be embedded into consumer electronic devices
3. Importance of security in the Consumer Electronics’ world

Naveen S Yeshodara completed his B.E in computer science from P.E.S College of Engineering, Mandya in the year 2005 and joined WIPRO and worked in the testing domain as Senior Project Engineer.

He joined McAfee as Software QA Engineer after 2.5 years and served for 4.5 years in data Protection BU under the testing domain. In his career he was involved in Manual testing, Automation, Test case creation and execution, Test planning, Competitive analysis of the product, Test estimation and more.

He even completed his M-Tech from RVCE on 2011 under QIP program. His areas of interest are innovation and Product Quality.
